CBlue was born from an idea of Arnaud Ligot when he was a student in Computer Science at the University of Namur. During his last year of study, he received a request to develop a part of an open-source e-learning platform. In order to have time to write his thesis, he recruited Noël Dieschburg - still active today at CBlue. Very quickly, the specificities of e-learning platforms caught their attention. It requires a high level of technical expertise, flexibility of implementation and high availability of hosting. The combination of all these aspects enthuses them, and it is thus very naturally that CBlue will specialize in this sector.
The company quickly specialized in the distribution of educational content through LMS (Learning Management System) platforms, i.e. software that allows the creation, management, organization and delivery of online learning material. The year 2014 is relatively flourishing, it is in this context that new collaborators join the team between 2015 and 2018.
While keeping its Namurian roots, CBlue goes international and opens an office in Paris with headquarters in Lille. The signature of large-scale contracts with French public institutions leads to the installation of the company near its French customers. This step allows a better structuring: the front-end development team is located in Paris, France, while the back-end team remains in Namur, Belgium. These years mark a considerable turning point in the life of CBlue. The company decides to build new offices in Suarlée, Namur.
CBlue BE grows and passes the mark of ten collaborators in permanent employment while CBlue FR counts, from now on, two. The construction of the new offices is progressing well and the team will soon be able to move in.
CBlue finally moves into its new building located at Rue de l'Innovation n°3 in Suarlée, Namur after many months of construction. This building is of the "low energy" type, which means that it consumes less energy than a traditional building thanks to the construction materials and the solar panels.

CBlue has grown again and now welcomes 16 people in its team. The team is mainly composed of developers and system administrators. As the team is growing, new activities are organized for the members in order to increase the group cohesion: barbecue, raclette at the end of the year, visit of the datacenters, team building, annual restaurant, climbing excursion, etc.
CBlue still has many projects in the pipeline, including the hosting of young companies in its premises as well as the hosting of various training courses dedicated to the computer field. Space and equipment have already been provided for this purpose.
